Singapore’s 7 satellites are launched into their intended orbits by the ISRO PSLV rocket.

All seven Singaporean satellites were successfully launched into orbit by the PSLV rocket of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The satellites were placed into their intended orbits by the rocket about 23 minutes after liftoff, according to ISRO, after it had split from them and traveled 535 kilometers. This is the 58th flight of PSLV and the 17th flight of PSLV in Core Alone configuration.

Facts to know about ISRO’s PSLV-C56 mission
The Defence Science and Technology Agency of the Government of Singapore and ST Engineering collaborated to develop the DS-SAR satellite. It will be launched into a 535 km-high, near-equatorial orbit (NEO) with a 5 degree inclination.

The PSLV-C56 also carries six co-passenger customer satellites – VELOX-AM, a 23 kg technology demonstration microsatellite; ARCADE Atmospheric Coupling and Dynamics Explorer (ARCADE), an experimental satellite; SCOOB-II , a 3U nanosatellite flying a technology demonstrator payload; NuLIoN by NuSpace, an advanced 3U nanosatellite enabling seamless IoT connectivity in both urban and remote locations; Galassia-2, a 3U nanosatellite that will be orbiting at low earth orbit; and ORB-12 STRIDER, satellite is developed under an International collaboration.

The DS-SAR can now provide all-weather day and night coverage and, according to the ISRO, is capable of imaging at 1m resolution at full polarimetry.
